The National Bank of Oman Golf Classic Grand Final is the last stop of the European Challenge Tour Season, where the top 15 players in the 'Road to Oman' rankings move on to the European Tour. Played for the first time in 2013 in Muscat, Oman, the tournament was intended to showcase Oman's untouched beauty to the world, putting Muscat on the map for world class sporting events and increasing tourism within the country.
Wicked are proud to have been a partner of NBO Golf Classic Grand Final since year one, providing the structures, interiors and overlay services for the successful tournament. Each year our intention has remained the same: to provide a premium experience for the players, sponsors and guests in attendance, whilst taking full advantage of the Almouj Golf Course's stunning location, including the panoramic views of the ocean and the spectacular Hajar Mountain behind.
The course provides some design difficulties in that the space is narrow, and provides a restricted space to build structures without disrupting the views of the 18th hole. To successfully execute this project, we make use of our Saddle Span system in order to create a spectacular viewing terrace overlooking the 18th green. In addition, we create a stunning wrap around hospitality unit, and an interactive tented village for the fans, establishing an immersive and enjoyable environment for all age groups.
We like to keep our aesthetics creative, and so we develop and adapt our structures each year to keep it fresh and relevant! And with our custom fit-out, fabrication, AC and lights, we are able to achieve any atmosphere required from the event.
The NBO Golf Classic Grand Final is gaining recognition as being within the leading tournaments on the European Challenge Tour, gathering praise for the standard of the tournament and the consequential rise in golfing in Oman. We are privileged to be part of the success of this tournament, and look forward to seeing the tournament progress, providing our special touch to the structures as it develops.
